Invitation to apply and evidence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once a state nominates you, SkillSelect issues an\u00a0<strong>Invitation to Apply (ITA)<\/strong>\u00a0and you normally have\u00a0<strong>60 days<\/strong>\u00a0to lodge your visa application; if you miss this window, the invitation lapses and there is no guarantee of being invited again.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At this point you must upload evidence for every point you claimed: skills assessment, employment references, contracts and payslips, tax records, English test, qualifications, NAATI, partner skills, etc., and your skills assessment usually needs to be valid within the specified period (often 3 years unless stated otherwise).<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Lodging the visa and adding family<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You lodge your 190 or 491 visa through ImmiAccount and can include eligible dependants such as your spouse or de\u2011facto partner and dependent children; children aged 18\u201323 generally need proof of financial and practical dependency.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>State nomination simply makes you eligible to apply for skilled visas, and the Department of Home Affairs assesses health, character and all points\u2011based claims.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Processing times to visa grant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For Skilled Nominated\u00a0<strong>190 visas<\/strong>\u00a0take around 13-23 months<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For\u00a0<strong>491 regional visas<\/strong>, It can take anywhere from 20-28 months<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5.
